What I Wish Ecommerce Businesses Knew

Don’t Lose Their Place

Transparent outlined silhouette illustration of a shopper returning to the same position in a product category grid.

A shopper scrolls.

They compare. They scan. They finally open a product.

Then they go back.

And suddenly they’re at the top of the category again.

That feels small.

Until they have to find their place for the third time.

Good browsing remembers where the customer was. When they return from a product page, keep them at the same vertical position.

It respects the work they already did.

And it keeps comparison moving instead of restarting it.

Back should mean back—not back to the beginning.

Does your store return shoppers to the same category-page position after they view a product?
