Show How Close They Are
People respond to visible progress.
If a customer is close to free shipping, say so.
If they need just a little more to unlock a reward, show the gap.
That small piece of clarity changes behavior.
“Spend €7 more for free shipping” is more useful than a hidden rule the customer only discovers too late.
It gives them a reason to keep browsing. It reframes one more item as a gain, not just an extra cost.
But this only works when it feels immediate and easy to understand.
Show the threshold inside the cart. Use a simple progress cue. Update it instantly.
The closer the finish line looks, the more reachable it feels.
Visible progress turns hesitation into momentum.
