What I Wish Ecommerce Businesses Knew

Let Them Filter

Transparent outlined silhouette illustration of a shopper using filters on an ecommerce category page.

Category pages are where browsing becomes work.

Without filters, that work gets heavy fast.

Too many products. Too many options. Too much scrolling.

Filters help customers turn a crowd into a shortlist.

Size. Price. Color. Brand. Availability. The right filters don’t just organize the page. They move people closer to the item they actually want.

And the faster they find something relevant, the more likely they are to keep going.

A category page should not ask people to manually dig through everything just because everything exists.

Help them narrow. Help them exclude. Help them decide.

Because browsing feels lighter when the page does some of the work.

Choice is easier when customers can shape it.

Can customers filter products by useful attributes on your category pages?
